As our council services continue to be stretched part of the gardeners’ job is to empty the garden bins and pick up litter, so if you’re going through the gardens and see any litter pick it up and put it in the bins. The less time the gardeners spend litter picking, the more they can spend on the garden and continue to keep/make it as we all like to see and appreciate it.

The FOPA Streetscape team already do a weekly rubbish pick up on Rory’s weekly Friday voluntary ‘litter pick’ around Adelaide Gardens. They are looking for any volunteers out there to conduct a similar regular ‘litter pick’ for Palmeira Square?? Get involved in your community and volunteer or just take part in ‘1 piece of rubbish’ for cleaner streets and gardens.

The Idea : We are all capable of picking up 1 Piece of Rubbish per day.
For cleaner streets and cities and hopefully a cleaner area… Over to you !

PICK IT UP

In front of your house or office, in the gardens, next to your car, on the footpaths, wherever you find it

THROW IN A BIN

Paper, cans or bottles etc. Just drop it in the nearest bin.

(1 Piece of Rubbish is a people’s initiative born in Leeds and made in Marseille.)
