Installation of communal rubbish bins in all the historic squares
The council voted on 29th November to the installation of communal rubbish bins in all the historic squares. They will also be installing communal recycling bins in Palmeira Square and Adelaide Crescent.

FOPA Proposed Communal Bins Survey Results
The Friends of Palmeira & Adelaide received 70 responses, approx 30% of our Members, to the survey regarding the proposed communal bins and the following are the results. This gives us all an idea of how the residents feel about this issue.
Council meeting to discuss consultation on refuse bins
The Environment, transport and sustainability committee will be meeting at 4pm on Tuesday, 29th November in the council chamber of Hove Town Hall to discuss the outcomes of Cityclean’s consultation on introducing refuse and recycling bins into the Square and Crescent.
The Big Clean-up. Volunteers needed.
On Saturday 5th November our ward councillor, Phellim MacCafferty is organising an autumn clean up following on from the last one in March.
Christmas Party 2016
10th December 2016 | 6:00-8.00pm Cornerstone Centre. We shall be holding the annual FOPA Christmas Party, with live band, festive fizz, soft drinks and canapes.
Protect Brunswick Square, Terrace and public gardens for the enjoyment of everyone
The neighbouring Brunswick Town Association has created a petition to stop the Council imposing communal bins in Brunswick Square, Terrace and public gardens,so that this unique Regency square, terrace and public garden can continue to be enjoyed by everyone.
Communal Bin Consultation – Update on questionnaire and meetings
The Council has today circulated a letter to all residents confirming that the date for return of the consultation questionnaire has been extended until Sunday, 18th September. If you’ve not done so already, we would urge you to complete either the paper questionnaire or to go to www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/communalrecycling and have your say.
