A huge THANK YOU from all of us at The Friends of Palmeira and Adelaide for making this year’s summer picnic such a great success!
With your support, the picnic provided a lovely afternoon for local residents to socialise and enjoy each other’s company. The event raised over £1,200 that will go towards our garden projects and our events fund. It means we can keep our gardens looking gorgeous all year round, and set about our next phase of plans to extend some of the Palmeira borders. It also means we can grow our volunteer program, and hold some interesting future events to bring our community closer together.

A big thank you to Oli the Marathon Man for running an amazing 26.2 miles around Adelaide crescent, the 4Cellos for providing the music, and all the committee volunteers for providing such great fun and cakes at the picnic stalls.
Our historic gardens are unique in Brighton & Hove and have become a hidden gem for visitors, as they create a thriving space for everyone to appreciate. Without your financial support and the work of our volunteers, we would not enjoy such lovely spaces.
Even if you didn’t make it to the picnic, you can still offer your support by making a donation to FOPA, or join our team to volunteer with events or in the gardens.
