Awarded National Lottery Community Fund
We are pleased to announce the National Lottery Community Fund has awarded us £2,850 towards our ‘Re-invigorate three community gardens’ project application. This award allows us to continue this work and tackle some of the larger projects we have in the garden plans and support for our community activities.

Postponed: Essential Carriageway Patching Works – Church Road
The council’s highways team have an upcoming road patching project that will affect our area. Closures are in place around Palmeira Square. Church Road (Palmeira Square) will be closed on Sunday, September 15th, 2024. The road closures will be in place from 08:00 until 17:00
Fishersgate to Brighton Cable Route Project
UK Power Networks run the electricity network delivering power to our area and connect and move power cables. Engineers are currently upgrading the electricity network between Fishersgate and Brighton to maintain reliable electricity supplies for homes and businesses and manage increasing demand for electricity.
Refurbishment of vandalised lanterns
Updated 20.09.24 – Work has begun. We have been working with the local council due to vandalism of several streetlighting lanterns across Adelaide Crescent and Palmeira Square. Come along to our Summer Picnic – Sunday 25th August : 2-6pm
Bring your own picnic and join your neighbours for an afternoon of casual conversation and fun. Entry to the event is free. We will have some free activities as well as a bottle tombola to raise some funds – All proceeds go towards our local projects and events. (Bottle Donations welcome)
